Volunteers are the backbone of any charitable organization like the Foothill Unity Center. Foothill Unity Center needs volunteers on a daily basis for all sorts of tasks. We need volunteers to help sort food, to help with the file review, to help at the Rainbow's End Thrift Store. Volunteers make the difference! Foothill Unity Center needs your willing hands & caring heart to provide for the needy in our community. You are really needed at:
At Foothill Unity Center Monrovia and Pasadena locations:
- Food packaging and distribution
- Stocking Pantry
- Office work
- Driving or warehouse
At the Rainbow's End (our outlet/thrift shop):
- Sorting & tagging
- Cashiering
- Washing/Ironing
- Displays & marketing
- Driver for pickups
Other volunteer opportunities:
- Fund Raisers / Donations /Food Drives
- Walk to fight poverty and hunger at the CROP Walk Fundraiser, Sunday May 4th, 2008 at Santa Anita Race Track
- Help sort and box food Saturday May 10th, 2008 as it comes in from the letter carriers at 9 local Post Offices during the National Letter Carriers Food Drive. Last year we received over 100,000 pounds of food!
- Special Client Projects - Holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas) Sorting, packaging and distributing food and toys, Back to School Distribution (August)
- Annual Fundraisers - Golden Plate Awards Dinner, Race Against Hunger - SCSC National Sprint Boat Races
